Special Use Reports

Special use request hearings are heard by the Stockbridge Township Planning commission at which time they approve or disapprove the request. Then the Planning Commission passes the request to the Stockbridge Township Board for final approval or disapproval.

There are many different places in the Stockbridge Township Zoning Ordinance that requires someone to get a special use before they can do a Permitted principal special use, or permitted accessory use of property, as stated in the Stockbridge Township Zoning Ordinance. The special use request form is on the forms and links page of this website or you can receive one from the Stockbridge Township office during office hours. Once the forms are filled out and signed they need to be returned to the Stockbridge Township clerk who will prepare everything for the special use hearing.
